English text follows Jetzt ist es also
offiziell: It's time to say goodbye... Ja, traurig aber wahr, wir haben im Juli
2006 beschlossen, nach 29 Jahren, nicht mehr aufzutreten. Hier noch ein Bild von unserer letzten
Besetzung

sind das Rolf Janssen, Hartwig Büsemeyer, The group SPIELLEUT officially announces: It’s time to say goodbey... Unfortunately, but that's the way
it is: In July 2006, after 29 years, we have decided
not to perform on stage any longer. After 29 years,
indeed ... "the times, they are
a-changing", we are growing older
so health has become a problem with the one
or the other, the requirements
in our full-time jobs get harder,
some of us have moved far
away to make a living... On the other hand
it has become a fact that less money
is spent on culture and therefore it's much harder
to get good gigs. To
cut a long story short, these are the
main reasons why we decided
to give up playing as
a band in public. It's a pity, I, personally would have liked
to accomplish 30 years, but "you can't always get what you
want". Nevertheless,
it's good to see that
some people feel sorry. It was a great time, we've seen and learned a lot, and we had
lots of fun together. We were always
pleased to hand on information and
know-how and we were especially flattered when somebody told us at some
musicians' meeting that our group
was one of the reasons why they
started to play this kind
of music - and we'll
still do so with the publishing house "Verlag
der Spielleute"( www.spielleute.de ). We'll of course every now and then show up at some
musicians' meetings because the scene
is still alive and thriving and we're quite pleased with this. On this note: So long Love, Willi Above a photo
